When I joined my hands and heart, I was looking for a way to make some quick cash and nothing else but then with time and volunteering my perspective changed. The work I was doing with volunteering was making a change in organisations I was connected to on My Hands and Heart. I began to understand the programme and the impact it was having and I encouraged my friends to join. I started learning valuable skills like report writing, managing people something I didnt know before entering the program. I got to interact with different people and learn from them as well which has improved my confidence. It opened my eyes to a lot of things such as what volunteering can do to improve your communication skills and for that I'm now able to write a report , upload opportunities on the system and use my email address. I keep myself busy with different programs in the community while volunteering. The most important thing I have learnt from the program is to make a difference in my community instead of complaining about lack of opportunities and create my own path in life.
